When a prominent Toronto architectural firm needed some very special signage created for the newly renovated 120 and 130 Carlton Condominiums, they felt very comfortable choosing us to engineer and manufacture their designs for their project on Carlton.
The Challenges
Beautiful as they look, these signs posed some unique challenges. The prominent among them was that the signage width needed to be no more than 4 inches and they needed to be attached firmly at a 90 degrees angle to the building. This enabled people walking parallel to the building to be able to see it clearly at night as well as day.
The Solution
After reviewing these requirements, our signage consultants decided to go with illuminated push-through letters to display the address elegantly with these seamless illuminated lightbox signs.
The lightbox signs were only 4 inches in thickness as required by the client. They were attached to a balcony and were structurally stamped by an engineering firm based on our mechanical drawings.
The feedback we received is that client loved the look and residents now feel the two buildings are properly identified and guests and visitors no longer have problems in identifying where they are going. We are very pleased with the results and want to thank the management for giving us this opportunity to work with them.
