Re-designed storefront signs can uplift your store’s visibility

Everyone needs a refresher every now and again. Signarama is no stranger to re-facing storefront signs for our clients to create a fresh new look. This time it’s our turn! We needed to update our storefront and image to be current, clean, and cutting edge. The old scheme of our storefront was dated and needed to be up to modern standards.

The lightbox

The Lightbox

Our old sign box was in perfectly usable condition, it just needed a bit of a make-over. First, the old translucent, digitally printed vinyl graphics were stripped off of the acrylic face. Second, the whole thing, frame and acrylic face, was cleaned up to look like new. The frame was sanded, primed, and repainted to a neutral gray. Finally, before being reinstalled, we applied the new, translucent, cut vinyl graphics to the face.

Side Sign

The side sign was also still in good condition. We stripped the existing digitally printed vinyl graphics of the all-panel face, cleaned up the surface, and reapplied our newly updated digitally printed vinyl graphics to the sign. The finished sign was then directly remounted onto the brick.

Cladding

The old storefront had blue acrylic cladding covering the façade of the building. We wanted to portray a cleaner, more industrial look. After taking down and disposing of the old acrylic, we installed a brushed aluminum finish on all panel sheets directly onto the front of the building. The edges were finished with L-angles and the applied vinyl graphics echoing the pattern in the sign face to the aluminum cladding to tie the two elements together.

Window Graphics

We wanted to show how classy we can treat window graphics. After stripping and cleaning the old graphics off the windows, we applied the newly designed, cut vinyl decals. Running across the top of the windows we cut opaque white vinyl that we applied to the first surface of the windows. Along the bottom, we cut the same pattern from the sign face design in frosted vinyl that we applied to the second surface of the windows, completing the overall look of the exterior facade.

Interior

The inside of our showroom used to be blue as well. Although calming, it also brought down the energy level of the store. The new red paint job, appropriately named ‘Positive Red’, has already had a noticeably uplifting effect on the Signarama team as well as our clients that drop by. It’s bright and cheery and nicely compliments the silvers and grays and red accents of the storefront. It’s amazing how much of a difference a fresh coat of paint can do.

Conclusion

The result is a beautiful, clean, modern-looking storefront that both displays the quality of work we are capable of, our graphic design skills, as well as shows off various services that we offer to our potential clients.”
